YOGA FOR ALL DANCERS
We have all heard dance teachers
calling out instructions and guidance such as, "Find your
center", "Lift your core", "Release your hip flexors and use the
back of your legs", and "Feel your back". Dancers of all ages
and levels struggle to find these deep connections and points of
release and control within their bodies. Yoga can help attain
these goals. This workshop will give students the opportunity to
tap into their internal sense of movement through a deeper and
more mindful approach. We will explore the connection between
breath and movement to release muscle and joint tension, as well
as calm and center the mind. Class will incorporate both
energizing/strengthening elements, as well as therapeutic and
re-cooperative poses. Students will leave feeling more balanced,
whole, and connected in their bodies. Dancers will be prepared
to bring this refreshing and new body awareness into their dance
classes! Now that you're excited and ready to dance your summer days away, all you need to do is register! Just email us at marlo@exitspacedance.com. |

"all grown up" doesn't mean that you don't deserve the chance to
become a dancing prince or princess! Over the course of two

some of our most cherished ballets from both the romantic and
classical periods. Dancers will learn short phrases and

barre and stretch for warm up and will continue with repertory
and a final in studio "performance". You deserve to have fun and
be a part of a magical weekend of ballet! Now that you're excited and ready to dance your summer days away, all you need to do is register! Just email us at marlo@exitspacedance.com. |

REDD LEGG DANCE PRESENTS: THE FINAL FRONTIER
NOVEMBER 7, 2009 /
1PM
Audience members will learn about
many elements of space through engaging multimedia presentation
intermixed with dance performance. In this hour-long

view video footage of spacewalks, simulated planetary orbits,
and many inspiring images from our solar system and beyond.
Dialogue accompanying these images will lecture on subjects
ranging from the theory of gravity to the possibility of alien
life. Subjects to be discussed include: the sun, the lifespan of
stars, the history of constellations, gravity, space
exploration, and the possibility of other life in the universe.
Viewers will also have the opportunity to meet the dancers for a
question and answer session after the performance. This will be fun and memorable way to connect science with the arts while reinforcing classroom or home learning! |
